TARRAGON (Whole Plant) Artemensia dracunculus

 Tarragon essential oil has a rich, sweet, spicy, anise-like, green scent with a top note. It is light yellow in colour and has a thin consistency.

Tarragon Essential Oil is beneficial for the muscular system of the body on account of its anti-rheumatic properties it also helps prevent pain in the joints and connective tissues.

It is also an excellent stimulant. It helps stimulate the various organs of the body, which, in turn, help retain the functionality of all the physiological systems.

Tarragon essential oil aids regulation of the endocrine system, thereby stimulating the hormone levels in the body and this, in turn, helps maintain the overall physiology of the body.

Tarragon Essential Oil helps cure eating disorders like anorexia; it assists the maintenance of proper body weight by regulating the concentration of fat cells in the body.

The main chemical components are estragole (methyl chavicol), ocimene and phellandrene, cineol etc

Extraction

Our Tarragon Essential Oil is extracted from the leaves and the flowering tops by steam distillation and comes from Iran.

Precautions

Tarragon oil is non-irritant and non-sensitizing but can be moderately toxic due to the methyl chavicol in the oil, and should therefore be used in moderation under the supervision of an Aromatherapy specialist.

Pregnant women must avoid the use of Tarragon Essential Oil.
