 Rose damascena, absolute is a reddish orange viscous liquid with a deep, rich, sweet, rosy-spicy honey-like fragrance it is elegant and romantic it inspires and brightens the heart. It takes about 60,000 roses, (about 40,000 kilograms) to make 1 litre of rose oil.
Although this Essential Oil may not sell as much as lavender oil, partly due to the cost, it is one of the best all-purpose oils to have around. It not only fights depression, grief, anger and fear, but looks after your heart and digestive system, while being the most wonderful remedy for female problems and one of the best oils to use on the skin.

Chemical composition
The chemical composition of Rose Essential Oil is one of the most complex and contains more than 300 known compounds, yet the main chemical components of rose oil can be listed as – A typical chemical composition of Rose Absolute Essential Oil: (-)-citronellol (34-55%), phenyl ethanol (1.5-3%), geraniol and nerol (30-40%), farnesol (0.2-2%), stearpoten (16-22%) with traces of nonanol, linalool, nonanal, phenylacetaldehyde, citral, carvone, citrene.
Extraction
Our Rose starts it journey in Bulgaria as a ‘concrete’, which is made by solvent extraction, after which an ‘absolute’ is obtained from the concrete, by separation with alcohol.

Rose Absolute may irritate sensitive skin due to the solvent extraction method. DO NOT USE DURING PREGNANCY.
