Coconut Oil- Cocos nucifera

Fractioned coconut is useful in formulations for dry, itchy, sensitive skin. It is light and non-greasy, will not clog pores, and it absorbs readily into the skin. It contains Lauric Acid, Vitamin A, Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B6 and Vitamin E as well as phosphorus, calcium, iron, manganese and magnesium. Herbal hair infusions are often infused in Coconut Oil.

So, what is fractionated coconut oil? Fractionation gets rid of the saturated fat from the coconut oil turning it into liquid and making it softer, at the same time taming the overwhelming natural scent of the oil.

It acts an emollientwhen applied to the hair and skin and is ideal for dry, brittle or chemically treated hair. It does not tend to clog pores and is readily absorbed, has anti-inflammatory properties, works well to keep skin soft and smooth, is said to relive dry, chapped, itchy skin, as well as prevent premature ageing and wrinkling.

Refined coconut oil is quite similar to subcutaneous tissue, though, so it works better with skin than other vegetable oils making it the perfect carrier oil for people who have oily or otherwise troubled skin. If you want ultra soft, smooth and non-greasy skin, use coconut oil! It is also a tanning aid

Fractionated coconut oil is also a great oil to use after being out in the sun and for scalp treatments. All you have to do is massage it into your scalp and let it stay on your hair for quite some time. A lot of people also use it in place of conditioner.

Coconut Oil has been shown to have anti–viral, anti-bacterial, anti–fungal & anti-parasitic properties, helping to prevent and treat health problems such infections, yeast infections, Candida and many more illnesses.

Coconut Oil has a virtually unlimited shelf life
